Marc Fink Appointed Director of Islamist Watch

PHILADELPHIA – The Middle East Forum is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Fink as director of Islamist Watch, the Forum’s effort to combat the ideas and institutions of lawful Islamists in the United States and throughout the West.

Mr. Fink has had a successful political career advising gubernatorial, congressional, secretary of state, attorney general and judicial campaigns, writing policy papers and speeches, creating advertising campaigns and public relation strategies, and directing opposition research.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Michigan majoring in history, Mr. Fink received his law degree from Emory University, and practiced with the prestigious Detroit law firm of Dickinson Wright PLLC before turning to business pursuits and then to politics.

“We’re excited to welcome Mr. Fink to the Middle East Forum,” said Forum director Efraim Karsh. “He brings a dynamic, activist approach to Islamist Watch, while maintaining and expanding its research.”

“Freedom of religion is one of America’s founding principles and a bedrock of Western society, but it does not give Islamists freedom to impose Islamic laws,” said Mr. Fink. “As director of Islamist Watch, I look forward to continuing its mission of defending our values and way of life from Islamist encroachments.”

The Middle East Forum, a Philadelphia-based think tank, is dedicated to promoting American interests in the Middle East and protecting the Constitutional order from Middle Eastern threats through intellectual, activist, and philanthropic efforts.
