100,000 Facebook “Likes” for the Middle East Forum

PHILADELPHIA – Founded in 1994, on the cusp of the internet revolution, the Middle East Forum is pleased to announce that it has just reached 100,000 “likes” on its Facebook page:

Under the guidance of Grayson Levy, the Forum has worked to take advantage of new media technologies. MEF President Daniel Pipes puts this evolution in perspective: “When MEF got started, we mailed or faxed out articles in batches of a hundred. The internet then changed our life. We began with websites and e-mail distribution lists, and now have 20 million page visits to our website.

“We no longer depend on the media gatekeepers – many of which are hostile to our message – but can do much on our own.”

Many Facebook “likes” allow MEF to boost its social media credibility, and bring its information and message to new audiences. We invite our readers who have not yet done so to “like” us on Facebook, and to invite their friends to “like” us as well.

MEF can also be followed on Twitter at @MEForum

For immediate release.

PHILADELPHIA – August 20, 2024 – A member of Maryland’s “Commission on Hate Crimes Response and Prevention” is out of a job. Ayman Nassar, the second Islamist commissioner to get tossed from the hate crimes board within three months, resigned on August 19 amid public outrage over his role in terror-linked organizations and his history of anti-American, antisemitic, and homophobic hate speech.

Nassar has accused Israel of harvesting the organs of living Palestinians and shared posts referring to Gaza as a “Holocaust.” He is chairman of the Aafia Foundation, a “terrorist support group” that seeks to free “Lady Al Qaeda” Aafia Siddiqui and other convicted terrorists from prison.
