Announcing Focus on Western Islamism (FWI)

PHILADELPHIA – February 1, 2022 – The Middle East Forum today launches an ambitious new counter-Islamist media platform, Focus on Western Islamism (FWI) at Islamism.news. It offers a hub for counter-Islamist research, reporting, investigation, and analysis.

It is the first dedicated counter-Islamist media outlet in the United States and adheres to the credo that radical Islam is the problem, moderate Islam is the solution.

FWI works to expose Islamist extremism and finances, uncover Islamist corruption, and highlight changing Islamist ideological trends. It will give voice to counter-Islamist specialists and to reform Muslims who find themselves increasingly ignored.

Initial articles by FWI include:

  • the revelation that the U.S. military partnered with a radical Salafi cleric to educate troops on Islam;
  • the Eid Charity files – a collection of essays and a copy of the raw data detailing $770 million of grants from a major Qatari regime entity to institutions around the world;
  • the Economics of American Islam, the first look into the finances and wealth of American Islam and the Islamist organizations that impose their grip upon it;
  • an investigation into the Islamist links of the Biden administration’s recent nominee to a federal court.

FWI seeks pitches and submissions. Please send them to submissions@islamism.news.

The Middle East Forum promotes American interests in the region and protects Western civilization from Islamism. It does so through a combination of original ideas, focused activism, and the funding of allies.

PHILADELPHIA – August 20, 2024 – A member of Maryland’s “Commission on Hate Crimes Response and Prevention” is out of a job. Ayman Nassar, the second Islamist commissioner to get tossed from the hate crimes board within three months, resigned on August 19 amid public outrage over his role in terror-linked organizations and his history of anti-American, antisemitic, and homophobic hate speech.

Nassar has accused Israel of harvesting the organs of living Palestinians and shared posts referring to Gaza as a “Holocaust.” He is chairman of the Aafia Foundation, a “terrorist support group” that seeks to free “Lady Al Qaeda” Aafia Siddiqui and other convicted terrorists from prison.
