Craig Considine is an Islamic apologist who tries to gain popularity from the Islamic community by praising Mohammed while claiming to be a non-Muslim. He has written a book about how Mohammed was a humanitarian, a women’s rights advocate and anti-racist.
These are complete lies. Considine, moreover, is a coward who has ignored invitations to publicly debate people such as Robert Spencer and David Wood.
Craig has made an astonishing false claim: that Mohammed was against discrimination, prejudice and racism. These claims are completely false. The Qur’an states that “the unbelievers among the People of the Book,” that is, Jews and Christians who don’t become Muslims, are “the most vile of created beings” (98:6). Furthermore, Mohammed stated that the devil looks like a black man (Ibn Ishaq 243) and said “You should listen to and obey, your ruler even if he was an Ethiopian (black) slave whose head looks like a raisin.” (Sahih Bukhari 7142) He also had black slaves, and there was little punishment to a Muslim if he tortured his slave. This does not appear to be a man that was against discrimination, or the first man to get rid of discrimination. In fact, he actively engaged in racism and discrimination himself. Why doesn’t Craig Considine mention any of this? Is he simply trying to fool non-Muslim audiences?
In addition, the Qur’an states that Muslims can take infidel women and girls as sex slaves — “what your right hand possesses” (Qur’an 4:24). Mohammed passed infidel sex slaves in markets who were naked from the waist up without saying that they should be covered. His treatment of women was absolutely horrific, yet Islam teaches that he has to be emulated. His actions are imitated by Jihad groups including ISIS, Boko Haram, and numerous other armed Jihad groups. He beheaded approximately 600-900 Jews of the Qurayzah tribe and then took a Jewish sex slave, Safiya. In light of this, can it really be said that he is against prejudice, Craig? Mohammed also had a white sex slave called Miriam, a Coptic Christian. He said “Never will succeed such a nation as makes a woman their ruler” (Sahih Bukhari 7099), and that hell will be full of women (Sahih Bukhari 5198). Men can beat women (Qur’an 4:34). Mohammed beat his own child bride Aisha (Sahih Muslim 2127). He said “A man will not be asked as to why he beat his wife” (Sunan Abi Dawud 2147).
The Qur’an also stated that Muslims shouldn’t take Jews and Christians as friends (5:51). He said anyone who leaves Islam should be killed (Sahih Bukhari 6922). He told his companion to use taqiyya and to behead a poet who criticised him. Mohammed was not a humanitarian, he was just the opposite. He also stated that four witnesses need to be present in cases of adultery and rape, which is virtually impossible (Qur’an 24:13). If there are no such witnesses, the accused can be stoned to death. The Qur’an also teaches that a women’s testimony is worth half that of the man (2:282).
I could write a book exposing all of Craig Considine’s lies. I would really like to see him debate Robert Spencer, but Considine has ignored invitations to do so. He knows his lies would be exposed.
