Al-Zahrani Not Mentally Competent To Stand Trial [on Richard Antoun]

Not mentally competent to stand trial, at least not at this time.

The former B.U graduate student accused of fatally stabbing a professor will be put in a state psychiatric facility.

Abdulsalam Al-Zahrani will remain there, until he is declared competent to face a judge and jury.

The competency order was signed Tuesday morning, on the day that his trial was scheduled to begin.

Al-Zahrani is charged with murder, in the on-campus slaying of B.U. professor Richard Antoun back in 2009.
