American Historical Association Fails to Pass Anti-Israel Resolution

Anti-Israel members of the American Historical Association (AHA), including Middle East studies profs Juan Cole of Michigan, Joel Beinin of Stanford, Zachary Lockman of NYU, and Dina Khoury of George Washington, failed in their attempt to single out Israel for condemnation at the annual AHA meeting this past weekend in Atlanta. This was the second consecutive year the resolution, which charged that Israel abuses Palestinian universities and students, was defeated by AHA members.
