Anti-Israel Bias in Proposed California High School Ethnic Studies Curriculum

JNS reports on a new ethnic-studies high school curriculum under proposal by the California Department of Education that’s raising concerns---including among members of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus---over anti-Israel, anti-Semitic bias.

Predictably, three of the eighteen members on the advisory committee for developing the curriculum are anti-Israel academics. As Endowment for Middle East Truth President Sarah Stern puts it, “This one-sided, rigid dogma has trickled down from the university classroom to teachers of kindergarten through 12th grade in many ways—some subtle and some not quite so subtle. Unfortunately, there is a rot that has taken firm root, heavily biased against Israel in most university classrooms.”
