He is back in the news where we did not expect him. In a Facebook post published on Tuesday and spotted by the press, including Current values and Marianne, Tariq Ramadan, essayist, Muslim theologian and scholar, indicted in four rape cases – facts that he disputes – announces the imminent creation of a “Research and training center” entitled Chifa, an establishment which, among other things, will offer courses in “feminism” and “ethics”. He promises that these will start as early as “mid-October”.
“Classes will be given by a team of teachers (more than twelve throughout the year) around the themes of religion, spirituality, humanism, psychology, feminism, ecology , education, ethics, colonialism, racism, law, economy, etc ", he develops.

Tariq Ramadan also detailed the objectives of said “center”, in a style more reminiscent of personal development than the grandes écoles. “Our approach and our teachings are given as objectives to translate the notion of ‘healing’ in all its meanings. (...) Seek your balance and, without being ‘sick’, strive to ‘cure’ its cracks, of its apparent and hidden shortcomings and dysfunctions, “he writes. This initial project, a three-year cycle, is coupled with a second: “Chifa Solidarity”.
Following the Chifa courses will also pay off, as shown by the following publication of the preacher: “A percentage (15%) of the registration fees of our students will be directly allocated to this solidarity fund.” This is not the first time that the controversial intellectual has reappeared in the media on his own initiative since his release in November 2018. In March 2019, he visited a dedicated conference about violence against women given in Saint-Denis.
