ISNA Convention to Feature ‘Extremist’ Middle East Studies Academics

Ryan Mauro, director of the Clarion Intelligence Network, notes that the annual convention next month for the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) will, as in years past, feature “extremist speakers with a history of promoting anti-Semitism and using inflammatory rhetoric.” They include academics, such as UC Berkeley’s Hatem Bazian, Georgetown University’s John Esposito, Zaytuna College’s Imam Zaid Shakir, and Rhodes College’s Yasir Qadhi.
