A group called Stop Antisemitism: On College Campuses and Beyond has created a petition calling on Columbia University to “condemn and remove” Iranian studies professor Hamid Dabashi for his “well-documented history of demonizing Israel and Jews on social media and in his academic writings.” It notes that “in May, [Dabashi] blamed Israel for ‘every dirty treacherous ugly and pernicious act happening in the world.’”
