UW-Madison Prof Samuel England Dissects ‘Arab Zombie Arts’

Revealing both the anti-Western preoccupations and faddishness afflicting the field of Middle East studies, University of Wisconsin–Madison professor Samuel England managed to bash “colonialism” and “Orientalists” in a lecture on---we kid you not---"Arab Zombie Arts.” He also made the debatable claim that two obscure pieces of “classic Arabic literature” inspired “popular Western science fiction works such as the ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Matrix’ series.”

No doubt England is already planning his next lecture, “Intersectionality and ‘The Walking Dead.’
