UC Berkeley’s Hatem Bazian Donated to Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Campaign

The Middle East Forum’s “Islamist Money in Politics” (IMIP) database shows that UC Berkeley lecturer and anti-Israel activist Hatem Bazian donated to Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar’s campaign in 2018. Ilhan is currently under fire for anti-Semitic tweets regarding AIPAC and allusions to Jewish money in U.S. politics.

Bazian, who founded American Muslims for Palestine, has been a strong supporter of Ilhan—and fellow BDS proponent Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib—including her recent comments. Clearly, it’s Islamist money in U.S. politics that should be scrutinized.
