During his first term, President Donald Trump walked away from the 2015 nuclear deal and imposed “Maximum Pressure” on Iran. As Trump prepares for his second term, analysts might expect more of the same, but 2024 is not 2016. The Supreme Leader is planning his succession. Both Hamas and Hezbollah are on the ropes. Iran, though has enriched enough nuclear material to fuel a bomb. Iranians, meanwhile, signal they want little to do with their leader. In 2022, millions took to the streets in the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement protests. How might second term Trump policy differ? What might Iran do different?

Join Michael Rubin, MEF’s director of policy analysis, as he shares his insights and discusses the prospective Iran policy of the incoming Trump administration.
