Frieda Fuchs has conducted extensive research on radical movements in Africa and Asia, exploring the political, social, and ideological factors that contribute to violent politics. Her scholarly work has been published in prominent academic journals, including Theory and Society and Politics & Society. Fuchs has taught at The College of Wooster and Oberlin College, where she offered courses in comparative politics, democratic development, dictatorship, and social movements. She holds a Ph.D. in Government from Harvard University, where she specialized in European politics with a focus on the comparative history of protective labor standards in Britain and France, and an M.A. in African Politics from UCLA.
