Geert Wilders, leader of the Dutch anti-immigration party, is involved in plans to set up a similar organisation in Australia.
In a short video address to the members of Australian anti-Islam organisation Q Society, Wilders said the new organisation - the Australian Liberty Alliance - will be formally launched in 2015.
The aim of the alliance is to offer ‘civil-minded Australians a fresh political vision’, Wilders said.
Wilders became involved in setting up the alliance during his visit to Australia last year. He was invited by the Q Society to give a string of speeches.
Wilders’ PVV is currently the biggest party in Dutch opinion polls. The organisation has no members apart from Wilders.
