The Counter-Islamist Grid (CIG), a project of the Middle East Forum (MEF), is hiring two part-time associates. CIG coordinates opposition to Islamist ideas, individuals, and organizations on the local level across North America.
Position:
Associates have three main tasks: conducting research into Islamist activities in their own locality, disseminating their results, and engaging in activism. The job also entails working closely with anti-Islamist Muslims.
Ideal qualifications:
- Agreement with MEF’s outlook that radical Islam is the problem, and moderate Islam is the solution.
- A demonstrated ability to research, write, speak publicly, and organize campaigns.
- Familiarity with government officials, media, and others in your own locality.

Job status and compensation:
10 hours per week as an independent contractor. The position pays up to $10,000 a year.
