While Israeli forces methodically dismantle the Hamas military in Gaza, state actors that enabled this Islamist death cult to massacre more than 1,200 Israelis last month are coming under increased scrutiny.

Turkey, a longtime NATO ally of the United States that has veered increasingly against U.S. interests under Islamist President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has been a leading state sponsor of Hamas and defiantly intends to remain so. Turkey must change direction on its support for Hamas – and violent Palestinian Islamism more generally – or face serious consequences in its relations with the United States.
